Shlok Mishra is an engineer, social development practitioner and advocate for gender rights, inclusion and equitable access to education, with 7 years of solid experience in the social development sector. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, he brings lived experience of the challenges faced by marginalised communities and a strong commitment to advancing dignity, opportunity and social inclusion.

His work has been rooted in grassroots community engagement, including initiatives addressing HIV & TB prevalence, social entitlements and the empowerment of LGBTQ+ community members. He actively advocates for gender rights and believes that education can be a powerful pathway towards empowerment and social transformation.

With a background in engineering, Shlok is passionate about making STEM education accessible to all and connecting marginalised communities with mainstream education. He also creates awareness and advocacy around inclusive STEM within government structures, educational institutions and other platforms.

Shlok currently holds a permanent role with a renowned organisation and, alongside his professional commitments, actively contributes to Jeevika. He supports the organisation's digital outreach and social media, helping amplify its causes, programmes and advocacy.

As a Board Member, Shlok brings together lived experience, technical knowledge, grassroots engagement and digital advocacy to contribute to a more inclusive, equitable and educated society.
