She has worked with government and government-aided schools, facilitating mental health awareness, psychosocial support, community-based interventions and participatory programmes. She is particularly passionate about women’s rights, gender equality, women’s empowerment, child rights, mental health, social justice and community development.
As a Board Member of Jeevika Shakti Kendra, Sangavi contributes to initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, child safety, hygiene and health awareness, including diabetes awareness and prevention. She brings a community-centred approach that emphasises awareness, prevention, participation and dignity.
As a Theatre Practitioner, she uses theatre, storytelling and creative expression as tools for awareness, dialogue, healing and social change. She believes in working alongside communities, amplifying lived experiences and creating opportunities for people to express themselves and participate in building a more equal and inclusive society.
Through her work with Jeevika Shakti Kendra, Sangavi is committed to strengthening women’s agency, promoting child safety and well-being, advancing health and hygiene awareness, and contributing to healthier, safer and more empowered communities.
