About
Over the past three years, Gulafsha has worked closely with government schools to strengthen foundational literacy, numeracy and language learning, while also engaging volunteers to support children's learning journeys. She has worked as a Transformation Fellow with Bhumi, contributed to curriculum review, engaged with government organisations, and worked with the LGBTQ+ community, bringing a strong perspective on inclusion and equity.
With a Master's degree in Life Skills Education and a record as a university rank holder, Gulafsha is particularly passionate about Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), life skills and holistic child development.
She currently leads Project Frisbee, using sport as a tool to empower underprivileged girls with confidence, leadership, communication, teamwork, decision-making and resilience. Her work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves not only access to education, but also the opportunity to discover their voice, potential and ability to lead.
As the Head of the organisation, Gulafsha works at the intersection of education, community engagement, volunteerism, inclusion and youth empowerment, building partnerships that create sustainable and meaningful impact.
